Participation Anticipated

Approximately 400 attendees are expected to attend from locations around the world.
They will come from academia, industry, and government in their various countries.


The World of Coal Ash incorporates the following into one premier conference:
2005 International Ash Utilization Symposium of the UK CAER and the
ACAA's 16th International Symposium as well as meetings/workshops of the
U. S. Office of Surface Mining
U. S. Dept. of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory
and other organizations.

Structure

Monday (April 11) and the afternoon of Friday (April 15) are set aside as Satellite Days, for functions such as:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning (April 12-15) will be the Core Days, and will include:

Locations

Satellite events will occur in Lexington Convention Center's Heritage Hall and in the Hyatt Regency Lexington.

Core events will occur in Lexington Convention Center's Heritage Hall Ballrooms and Elkhorn Meeting Rooms A/B. The Poster session will be in East Hall, as will the exhibits, registration, continental breakfasts, and coffee breaks. The computer room and speaker ready room will be in Elkhorn Meeting Rooms C/D.

Proceedings volume

Each attendee will receive one Proceedings volume, which will be available in July, 2005, and will be mailed at that time to the attendees.

Special issue of the journal Fuel

The Elsevier Ltd. journal Fuel will devote an issue to selected manuscripts from the technical presentations. Fuel is an international academic refereed journal published by Elsevier Ltd. in the United Kingdom.

Language

The language of the conference is English. Translation service for attendees is not available.

Registration/Check-in

Registration/Check-in will begin Monday at noon.

Exhibits and Posters

Set-up for exhibits and posters will be noon-9:00 p.m. Monday.
Take down for exhibits and posters will be 2:00-5:00 p.m. Thursday

Abstract booklet

An abstract booklet will be given to each attendee.
