The World of Coal Ash (WOCA) is a single event combining the symposia previously offered separately by the American Coal Ash Association and the Center for Applied Energy Research at the University of Kentucky. This new conference will focus on a wide variety of topics ranging from technical presentations to basic information. It will encompass not only the coal ash utilization and flue gas desulfurization material, but will cover subjects like mercury, research and emerging technologies, mining applications, project specific case studies, international activities and state and federal regulatory perspectives.
WOCA will incorporate meetings and workshops for the American Coal Ash Association, the Center for Applied Energy Research, the U. S. Office of Surface Mining, and the U. S. Dept. of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory. Other groups that have been invited to participate include:

ACAA's 16th International Symposium

and other organizations.
