USDA - AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE
The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is the primary internal research agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). ARS strives to find solutions to agricultural problems of high national priority and transfers these solutions to both public and private entities. Approximately 8000 ARS employees, including 2100 scientists, conduct research at over 100 labs across the country. ARS is interested in developing beneficial agricultural uses of industrial products to enhance crop production, to protect the environment and to reduce energy inputs.
