The CBRC, a U.S. Department of Energy--National Energy Technology Laboratory-funded program, seeks to promote and support the commercially viable and environmentally sound recycling of CCBs through scientific research, development and field-testing. The CBRC has funded 52 research projects nationwide valued at $10 million including CCB use in mine filling and reclamation, soil remediation, road base materials, marine structures, lagoon liners, transmission poles, and building products.
