WOCA Student Poster Award

For Excellence in the Field of Ash Research Most Outstanding Student Poster Presentation presented at WOCA 2011

Introduction:

The Student Poster Award is given to the student poster presentation judged the most outstanding in the Poster Session at the WOCA 2011 Conference. It is selected by a panel of judges and is presented after the conference. Student must make the presentation and be a co-author on the paper.

Description:

The award consists of

  • US$500.00
  • An engraved plaque given to the recipient

Qualifications:

  • Student must meet student criteria guidelines
  • Student must present a poster presentation at WOCA 2011 Conference
  • Student must submit full paper for inclusion in the WOCA 2011 Conference Proceedings
  • Student must be co-author - (preferable first author) - on the paper
  • Author(s) will be invited to submit a paper to the CCGP Journal

History:

The WOCA Student Poster Award was established at the WOCA 2009 Conference. It is given in conjunction with the established WOCA Poster Award.

  • Will Stevens, University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research, for a poster presentation titled "The Cementitious and Pozzolanic Properties of Fluidized Bed Combustion Fly Ash." Co-authors were Thomas Robl and Kamyar Mahboub.
