More than 800 attendees are expected to attend from around the world including individuals from academia, industry, and government.

Language

The language of the conference is English. Translation service for attendees is not available.

Abstract booklet

An abstract book will be given to each attendee at check-in.

Proceedings

Each attendee will receive access to the conference Proceedings. Abstract books also containing the agenda will be distributed at the conference.

Professional Credits

The WOCA short course and the 2017 WOCA conference will qualify for professional development continuing education credit (PDH) for professional engineers. Please contact Ms. Caylor for additional information.

VISA Requests

International Attendees: if a letter of invitation is required for a visa, please contact Geaunita Caylor.

Medical Care

Attendees are responsible for the cost of their own medical care. If you do not have the type of insurance that will cover the cost of any medical attention you may need while in the U.S. you may wish to arrange for a short-term policy before you leave home.

Event Locations

Core Events (oral and poster sessions; exhibits, registration, continental breakfasts, and coffee breaks) will occur in the Lexington Convention Center located in Lexington, Kentucky USA.

Structure

Monday (May 8, 2017) is set aside for functions such as:

  • short courses
  • ACAA Membership Meeting

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (May 9-11, 2017)   will be the Core Days, and will include:

  • Technical presentations
  • oral presentations in concurrent sessions
  • poster session - a block of time during which poster presenters will be at their posters to explain their research
  • Exhibits will be open - Tuesday and Wednesday

NOTE: Be careful when you put the fee amount into the payment form. Make sure to insert $750.00 (with decimal point and two zeros) instead of 750 which equals $7.50

Cancellation with refund (less 20% administrative fee) is available until April 20, 2017. No refunds will be made after April 20, 2017.

FEES

Basic fee for attendance on 3 Core Days

(Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

  • Early Bird Rate: $750.00 price/person (on or before April 1, 2017)
  • $925.00 price/person (after April 1, 2017)

Single day fee for attendance on 1 of the Core Days

(Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday)

  • Early Bird Rate: $375.00 price/person (on or before April 1, 2017)
  • $475.00 price/person (after April 1, 2017)

Exhibitor Fees

Student

Students are encouraged to attend the WOCA 2017 Conference. Individuals seeking student status must meet this criteria.

A student is defined as a person who is working on a degree full time and who is not a full time employee. Students must have an advisor's signature (placed anywhere on the registration form). Online registration is NOT available for student registration - submit only via fax or US postal mail.

  • Student:   $200.00 price/student full fee and $100.00 price/student single day

Senior Citizen

A senior citizen is defined as a person who is 65 years old or older. Online registration is not available for senior citizen registration - only via fax or us postal mail.

  • Senior Citizen:   $375.00 price for full conference

The Basic registration fee covers:

  • all WOCA 2017 Conference functions
  • welcoming reception, continental breakfasts and breaks, off-site reception and dinner
  • conference materials, online proceedings and souvenir
  • access to all technical sessions
  • access to exhibits and posters

The Single Day registration fee covers all items listed above for the day in which the attendee is registered.

Short Course Registration - (Monday, May 8, 2017)

  • Fee - $300.00 US with conference registration
  • Fee - $400.00 short course only - (w/o conference registration)

Spouse/guest events

A $100.00 spouse/guest registration is available and includes the Welcoming Reception (Monday) and Off-site Reception (Wednesday).
