Participation Anticipated

More than 500 attendees are expected to attend from around the world including individuals from academia, industry, and government.

Registration/Check-in

Registration/Check-in will begin Monday, May 7th, at noon.

Language

The language of the conference is English. Translation service for attendees is not available.

Business Casual - (coat and tie not required)

Abstract booklet

An abstract book will be given to each attendee at check-in.

Proceedings volume

Each attendee will receive one Proceedings volume, in CD-ROM format, to be mailed after the conference. Abstract books also containing the agenda will be distributed at the conference.

Attendees are responsible for the cost of their own medical care. If you do not have the type of insurance that will cover the cost of any medical attention you may need while in the U.S. you may wish to arrange for a short-term policy before you leave home.

Structure

Monday (May 4, 2009) is set aside as a Satellite Meeting Day, for functions such as:

  • short courses
  • workshops
  • meetings of various organizations

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (May 5-7, 2009)   will be the Core Days, and will include:

  • Technical presentations
  • oral presentations in four concurrent sessions
  • poster session - a block of time during which poster presenters will be at their posters to explain their research
  • Exhibits will be open

Event Locations

Core Events (oral and poster sessions; exhibits, registration, continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, computer room and speaker ready room) and Satellite events will occur in the Lexington Convention Center located in Lexington, Kentucky USA.
